Teaverse reimagines tea culture through an immersive experience that starts with the package. By integrating AR and VR, it offers the younger generation a new way to explore the rich heritage of tea beyond taste. “The answer is within the package” unlock vivid tea mountain landscapes and connect with tradition through modern innovation.

Where I saw the problem.

For generations, the tea table has served as a shared space where different age groups gather, not just to drink, but to talk, observe, and enable everyday, cross-generational dialogue.

The tea table brings generations together.

Attention shifts away, and connection fades.

Today, that shared space is disappearing. The tea table now struggles to compete with contemporary, attention-driven forms of entertainment, gradually losing younger participants.

What I uncovered | The Problem

The tea table still holds deep cultural and social value, but its cross-generational bonds are fading due to a lack of contemporary entry points.

Mission

The mission is to create new pathways for younger generations to explore tea culture, restoring the cross-generational bonds it once fostered.

Target User

Age Range: 4-30

Socially Connected

Solution

System Framework

The package is not just a container, it is the first interface.

Part I. Packaging

The tea packaging design draws inspiration from the imagery of tea plantations shrouded in morning mist.
It resembles a dynamic, miniature world, inviting users to lean in and explore its details.

Part II. How People Interact

AR - mobile UI-based tea scene experiences

Customers can use their phones to scan the NFC chip on the packaging to access product information and interactive web pages about tea culture.

In addition to VR and mobile UI-based tea scene experiences, users can explore richer tea mountain imagery through AR.

UI/VR - Digital Integration

In the TeaScape, users explore flowing architecture with "caves" leading to a tearoom, tea field, and museum.

You begin in TeaScape (your personal tea space), a calm place that connects three pathways:
the Tea Room, the Museum, and an entry into the dynamic Tea Field.

Through the Tea Field, you can explore changing weather,
walk the landscape, try harvesting, and experience how tea comes to life (brewing).

Below, in the Tea Room, you learn brewing gestures step by step,
 guided at your own pace.

And inside the Infiniti Tea Museum, stories and traditions unfold through time, showing how tea has shaped generations.

TeaVerse Pop-up Store

Starts the cool experience even before drinking tea.

From Tea Table to the city,
the TeaVerse pop-up brings the experience into the world.
Inviting more people, more families,
to rediscover tea as a shared space.

-

Tradition stays alive by creating new ways for people to enter it.

This is where stories step across generations, again.
